Everything that is here goes there, and the household is the same at both ends. The simplest arithmetic on this site and still the one that needs the most crew, because nothing has been edited out along the way.

Two homes arriving at one address. The lifting is the easy part; the difficulty is that you now own two sofas, two washing machines and two sets of everything in the kitchen, and only one of each fits.

A split, handled quietly
One address becoming two. Usually a separation, sometimes an adult child setting up, occasionally a family spreading across a second property. Two destinations, one division, and a job that needs a written record.

Someone is joining you
A parent moving in, a relative arriving, a lodger's room being made. Nothing leaves the address; something has to make room inside it, and that usually means a downsize happening in a house nobody is leaving.

Listed and held
Goods collected, listed and held. On a merge it is the duplicate furniture; on a split it is one person's share; on a straight move it is the gap between two dates that refuse to meet.

Gravesend to anywhere in the UK, and by road into Europe. The first decision on any of them is the same: the crossing, the hour, and which way round the M25 the vehicle goes.
What it involves →Five things here, where most firms count three. The measured volume, taken with a tape. The access at every address involved, which on a merge or a split means more than two. How much packing you want. Whether anything is being held. And how many destinations there are.
That last one is the reason this site exists. A move with two delivery addresses and a written division is a longer job than one with a single address, and the quotation says so rather than absorbing it quietly and running out of day.
